I have been teaching IT for two decades.

I teach information technologies at Ali Osman Sönmez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Bursa, Türkiye. I have taught in vocational education since 2005 and have been at this school since 2010.

I am a Cisco Networking Academy instructor: I deliver CCNA and cybersecurity courses and prepare students for their certifications. Cisco awarded me the “Instructor 10 Years of Service” recognition in 2019.

How I teach

My approach is hands-on, project-based and built on international standards. The decisive difference, I think, is between explaining a topic at the board and having the student turn that topic into something that actually runs.

I take teams to robotics coding competitions, where we build projects around Arduino, Raspberry Pi and ESP32. I also take an active part in Erasmus+ projects.

Outside the classroom

I build web software — PHP and Python for a long time, Next.js and React in recent years. Physical network installation and server administration have been part of my work for years too. Lately I have been working on AI-assisted software and project development; this site is one of those experiments.
